Former HPE Staffer Joins Google Cloud Partner Program Team - CRN: Technology news for channel partners and solution providers

Posted: 06 May 2020 02:48 PM PDT

A former Hewlett Packard Enterprise product manager has joined Google Cloud's channel partner effort.

Ian Glasner, who most recently worked as a senior product manager of sales experience at HPE, started a new role as senior product launch manager for Google Cloud's Partner Advantage program team this week, according to his LinkedIn page.

"I'm excited to continue enabling partners and customers in their IT transformations," Glasner said in a LinkedIn post.

Glasner listed his Google Cloud duties as including driving the launch of new product/mergers and acquisitions, pricing and sales promotions to the partner ecosystem; developing, executing and managing a comprehensive partner enablement and activation plan to support ongoing program execution; and leveraging data from partners and sales feedback to improve and maintain the enablement resources shared in the Partner Advantage portal.

Google Cloud did not respond to a CRN inquiry by deadline, and Glasner could not be reached.

Glasner worked for HPE for just more than four years, according to his LinkedIn profile, which says his prior roles were as chief of staff, worldwide sales excellence, to the chief operating officer of a $7.6 billion HPE services business, and strategic alliance manager of incubator partner programs.

"I wouldn't trade my time at HPE for anything," Glasner's post said. "I was given the opportunity to have so many different experiences, including roles in product management, sales, services, strategy and operations, and strategic alliances. But, even more importantly, I had the opportunity to work with so many smart and inspiring people."

HPAPI Drug Manufacturing Trends - Contract Pharma

Highly potent API (HPAPI) drugs make up a growing percentage of the small molecule drug development pipeline and this group of products is growing faster than the overall small molecule segment, 1 largely due to their usefulness in cancer treatments. Many of these drugs have accelerated timelines for approval and commercial development, which can be challenging for drug developers to keep up with. On the front-end, new technologies such as in-silico prediction tools contribute to shortening candidate selection, 2 while Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already brought a first candidate into clinical development. 3 On the back-end, regulatory drug approval timelines are being increasingly shortened: when analyzing drug approvals in 2019, almost three-quarters of drugs approved (71%) were approved under Priority Review. 4 A related trend is increasing competition in the oncology field, with 80% of new IND’s now belonging to small, emerging or virtual biotech companies. 5 These firms o...
