NEW DELHI: TechGig in collaboration with Google Cloud launched an interactive online platform 'Cloud DevJam' on Monday.
The upskilling program has been designed to enable IT professionals and developers enhance and build their cloud-based skills while at home during the coronavirus-led nationwide lockdown.
Participants can build their expertise around an array of Google Cloud platform (GCP) skills including core infrastructure, data & machine learning, application development, and more. With live interactive sessions led by Google Cloud experts, developers can apply and test their knowledge through multiple choice question tests, hands-on labs, hackathons, and other skill-tests.
All participants will also have the opportunity to validate their knowledge by applying and completing their Google Cloud certification. With points to be earned with each activity, developers can earn the recognition of 'Cloud DevJam Champions' at the end of the program.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Goyal, business head at TimesJobs and TechGig said: "The COVID-19 outbreak, and the social lockdown, has made it critically important for everyone to remain updated with newer technologies. Today, the digital frontier -- led by cloud-based technologies -- is driving most initiatives in all the sectors. I am glad that at such juncture, TechGig -- in collaboration with Google Cloud -- is launching 'Cloud DevJam', a unique opportunity for the technologists to explore, learn and upskill on the Google Cloud platform."
Karan Bajwa, managing director, Google Cloud India said, "One thing that recent events have made clearer than ever is the importance for organisations and tech talent to be digital-first and cloud-ready. The Cloud DevJam is unique because it's been conceptualised to enable developers to build their knowledge while at home, and companies will need to call on their skills in the immediate and long term to ensure business agility, resilience, and overall competitiveness."
TechGig is a platform for IT professionals to synergise, share, exchange ideas, facts and information as well as showcase their work and express their views on the vast repertoire that the IT industry encompasses.

HPAPI Drug Manufacturing Trends - Contract Pharma

Highly potent API (HPAPI) drugs make up a growing percentage of the small molecule drug development pipeline and this group of products is growing faster than the overall small molecule segment, 1 largely due to their usefulness in cancer treatments. Many of these drugs have accelerated timelines for approval and commercial development, which can be challenging for drug developers to keep up with. On the front-end, new technologies such as in-silico prediction tools contribute to shortening candidate selection, 2 while Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already brought a first candidate into clinical development. 3 On the back-end, regulatory drug approval timelines are being increasingly shortened: when analyzing drug approvals in 2019, almost three-quarters of drugs approved (71%) were approved under Priority Review. 4 A related trend is increasing competition in the oncology field, with 80% of new IND’s now belonging to small, emerging or virtual biotech companies. 5 These firms o...
